Decorator Kennedy's Rites Friday
Arthur W. Kennedy, 78, of 56 W. Burns Ave., decorator and pottery maker, died Wednesday in St. Thomas Hospital after a short illness.
Before retiring, he owned the old Kennedy Sign Co.
Born in Peoria, Ill., Mr. Kennedy lived in Akron 50 years. He was a member of North Hill United Methodist Church, Mt. Akra Masonic Lodge 680 and Yusef Khan Grotto.
He leaves wife Mary; daughter Mrs. Helen Ruth Coulter, son Edwin and four grandchildren of Rocky River.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Rose Hill cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
Memorials may be made to the church building fund.
