Raible

Jacob Raible was born in Germany in 1826. He came to America in the 1840s. Jacob settled in Erie, Pennsylvania. He and his wife, Margaret Lagesland Raible, had eight children.

Funeral services for Jacob Raible Civil War veteran, were held this morning at 10 o'clock from the residence, 152 East Twenty-second street. Mr. Raible died Tuesday afternoon following a long illness. He was 91 years old.
Rev. Ginader of the Simpson M.E. church officiated at the services, and burial was made in Erie cemetery.
Besides a large list of relatives named in yesterday's Times, Mr. Raible is survived by one son, William, of Michigan, and one granddaughter, Wanda Miller, of Cleveland, O.

CIVIL WAR VETERAN CLAIMED BY DEATH
Jacob Raible, Civil war veteran and member of Strong Vincent Post, No. 67, passed away at his late residence, 152 East Twenty-second street, at 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the age of 91 years. Mr. Raible was a native of Alsace Lorraine, came to the United States at the age of 18 years, and has been a resident of Summit and Erie City up to the time of his death. He leaves to mourn a large family. Mrs. Elizabeth McCarthy, Mrs. Barbara Bible, Mrs. Tillie Kaley, Mrs. E.E. Pettibone of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Harry Coates of Chicago; Mrs. T.C. Tarneskee, Mrs. George F. Josselyn, Mrs. Margaret Kennedy of this city, also fifteen grand-children. The grandsons are Warren Raible Kaley of Regina, Ky., Arthur Kennedy of Akron, Ohio; and Frank Kennedy, court martial reporter at the Great Lakes Naval Training station. Funeral Friday morning, at 10 o'clock, from the residence, 152 East Twenty-second street.
