Wedding of Helen Kennedy and Walter Coulter
A simple but beautiful background of ferns, pink gladioli, and white candles formed the setting for the wedding of Miss Helen Ruth Kennedy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur W. Kennedy, 56 W. Burns Ave., and Walter D. Coulter. He is the son of Mrs. Blanche Whitlock Coulter of Lakewood. The ceremony was performed by Dr. James H. Sivard at North Hill Methodist church.
Mrs. Harold Infield was at the organ and Mrs. E. Wilkinson sang "At Dawning" and "Because." The bride wore a white satin dress made with a long train and a veil of illusion. Lace panels trimmed the dress. Her shower bouquet was of gardenias.
Mrs. John Tuck, as matron of honor, wore a pink taffeta dress and carried a boquet of pink and white baby mums tied with blue satin ribbon. The bridesmaids, Miss Jane Smith, Miss Betty Jacobs, Miss Norene Seaver and Miss Betty Hardesty were dressed in similar gowns of blue taffeta. They carried nosegay bouquets of vari-colored baby mums. Lockets about their necks were gifts of the bride.
John Tuck of Rocky River, O., served as the best man. Edward Hey and William Green of Lakewood were ushers. Following a reception at the home of the bride, the couple left for a 10-day honeymoon in Maine. The bride's going-away costume was a suit of hunter's green with wine accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Coulter will reside in Lakewood upon their return.
